WBS Editor doesn't work without Team Explorer 2005

description

I would like to work with TFS 2010 directly, via Webservices or otherwise, without having to install an old product on my machine.

Hello joelpaula,

In fact, the information on the web page here is outdated. There is no need to install VS 2005 anymore, I switched to using the VS2010 TFS assemblies for the v3 release. If you encounter any problems, please give further note here.

Best regards,
Martin

No further comment received. Assuming everything is fine and working.

See above. Already implemented with Release 3.0.

Have you double checked the URL you're using with the one you are normally using from Visual Studio? Does it work using a direct IP?

Hi

I double checked. The same address works everywhere else, including our own internal developed projects and a TFS fronts end for the iPhone.

Which version of TFS server are you using? Do you have a working Visual Studio 2010 installation on the same machine, which is able to connect to the TFS server?

This really puzzles me.

Hi,

TFS 2010, latest service pack. I have Visual Studio 2010 on the same machine and it works ok.
Thanks
